An opportunity to meet other researchers to discuss the changing role of the five senses in the past, now and in the future

Join Brigstow and St.George’s Bristol for an Ideas Lunch on Sense, People and Place. It will take place at St. Georges on Friday 26th May between 13:00 and 14:30.

We join St George’s as it celebrates its 200th birthday, to eat together and explore different aspects of the changing role of the five senses in the past, now and in the future.

We will discuss how we engage with our senses, place and the people within it, and what happens when the unexpected happens and we are disconnected from each other. We will consider our sensory experiences, the role of technology and how that enhances or disrupts, and how we might use creativity to enrich our encounters with people and place.

The aim is to connect people involved in sensory research across the University of Bristol, widen networks and hopefully have some ideas that might lead to research projects in the future.

This Ideas Lunch will be held in The Apollo Room at St.George’s Bristol. Information on access is available on its website at https://www.stgeorgesbristol.co.uk/your-visit/access/.
