Join the MenoMakers to talk and make menopause! Hear about the MenoMakers; learn about menopause in the past and present; and create menopause bunting.

Since September 2021 a group of women have been meeting monthly in North Kensington to make and talk menopause. These meetings have resulted in an exchange of knowledge and experiences and have explored the therapeutic potential of creativity. The project is part of a wider programme of research involving academics from the University of Bristol and artist Lisa Nash.

Join us on Saturday 29 April to see the outcomes of the project, which aim to initiate and normalise menopause conversations, combat stigma and improve wellbeing. You can:

  • View the exhibition-in-a-box containing hand crafted objects made by the group
  • Hear more about the project from artist Lisa Nash, historian Jessica Hammett, and the MenoMakers group
  • Learn more about menopause at work from Vanessa Beck, and the recent history of menopause from Jill Kirby
  • Participate in a creative activity and discussion

Refreshments will be provided
